CASE STUDY: INSIDE A DESIGNER’S MIND

A Journey with Mazda featuring the 2017 CX-5 and the 2017 MX-5 Miata RF

THE GOAL: Create a day in the life of a Mazda designer so the attendees could get a feel for the inspirations, process and goals of the brand’s design team.  

THE ATTENDEES: Lifestyle journalists, bloggers and influencers with national audiences.

THE EVENT: Tasked with illustrating what goes on in the mind of a Mazda designer, the Third Avenue Events team collaborated very closely with not only the PR team, but the design team as well. Our team began the process with a fresh perspective for every last detail, including but not limited to, menus, amenities, décor and collateral pieces. Working together with the design team, we were able to meet and exceed all of the design requirements, experience expectations and manage visions for this program as journalists and influencers from around the country experienced a few relaxing days in San Diego, California. After an insightful presentation from the designers themselves inside a wine cave, the relationship between clay modeling, an olive oil tasting and meditation sessions all came into focus for the attendees. The environment created allowed guests to connect with the artistic, unique and creative spirit that is Mazda.
